Honor Shandi Holtman: Funeral and Cremation Fund

My name is Shandi Holtman and unfortunately because of multiple health issues I'm going home on hospice care 4/3/2025. At one day old an accident happened and put me in kidney failure, because of the kidney failure I couldn't get life insurance. I know times are hard for all of us, but I'm asking for help . I started dialysis January 2020 and was told indidnt qualify for transplant but that not the truth. I thought Fargo and Mayo had the same rules. I found out in July 2024 that wasn't the case at all. I would have qualify for transplant list Jan 2020. Because of my pots syndrome I could not exercise normally. But I knew aqua aerobics was better. Unfortunately I've had a temporary catheter for dialysis for 5 years. Those can't get wet. I have had 2 fistulas fail right arm and a loop graft fail in right arm. 2 failed fistulas left arm and a faild c graft in upper left arm. Also I tried peritoneal diaylisis, but that failed because the diaylisis fluid leaked into right lung. It took 3 chest tubes to figure out what the solution was. The doctor preformed Pleurodesis, its a medical procedure that aims to permanently seal the pleural space, the area between the lung and the chest wall. This is achieved by inducing inflammation and adhesion between the two layers of the pleura, the membranes that cover the lung and the chest wall. Unfortunately it didn't work and I found that out by having to have another chest tube. I have had more diaylisis catheter than I can count from clotting or infection. They cannot get a new one in because of scar tissue. Also to top it off my right lung has had roughly 9 pulmonary embolism. I have lost count. I never had blood clotting issues until starting Daiylisis in Jan. 2020.

Yesterday I found out I have a bone marrow issues of collect to many red blood cells due to iron I got during dialysis. I'm also anemic so oncology/hemocology doctor said wasn't much to be done. Wegovy for weight loss has to stop from damaging issues and to top it off the Venus line on temporary catheter stopped working today. They normally last 5 months. So on month 4.

Hospice told me diaylisis patients can last for a week up to a month without diaylisis.

I'm so sad to leave behind my loved ones, friends, A wonderful husband and a wonderful son. I know God will lift them up. Best of all I know God knows me and Jesus is lord.

A rough estimate shows funerals, creamation, and urn could run up to $6,000. If there is any money left over it will be used for my husband to adopt our son. I've never qualify for life insurance and truly up set to leave them with nothing. I know God will provide. If you can't donate please share out thank you.
