Robert Allen Blackwell, affectionately known as Bobby, passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on January 2, 1965, in Norwalk, CT, he spent his final years in Stamford, CT, where he was surrounded by his family and friends.
Bobby is survived by his parents, Lee Blackwell, Karen Doyle Lyons, and step-father Daniel Lyons Sr.. As well as his siblings, Carol Watson and Angelo Ferrente. He was a devoted father to Joseph Blackwell and Jessica Wresilo, and he cherished every moment spent with his beloved grandchildren: Aiden, Joshua, Ivy, Kameron, and Charli. He also leaves behind his long-term partner, Kelly Phelan. Bobby was predeceased by his step-mother Diane Blackwell.
A proud graduate of Brien McMahon High School, Bobby built a successful career as a lineman, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues. He was known for his infectious humor, often lighting up the room as the funniest person present.
Bobby had a passion for sports, particularly the Yankees, Steelers, and NASCAR, which he enjoyed watching in his favorite spot—his recliner, with his loyal companion Danno by his side. Above all, he loved nothing more than spending time with his children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be cherished by his family forever.
Bobby will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his legacy of laughter and love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
