Nathan Richard Loew lived a full life in his 68 years, always on the go and rarely stopping to rest. He passed away in his home on July 3 (right after his 36th Anniversary) after a 5 year battle with Alzheimer's disease.

An Entrepreneur at heart, he managed fish and sushi businesses, started his own Delis in Arlington, and ran a flower business for over 20 years, making friends with everyone he met from the wholesale dealer to the restaurants owners he worked with.

After spending his early twenties travelling the US, practicing Tai Chi while living in a cabin in the woods, and reading religious texts,  he joined the Unification Church in Amherst, MA. He loved his life supporting projects he believed in and working in church businesses. He moved his whole family to Ireland to pursue mission work focusing on reconciliation efforts between Northern Ireland and the South.

Inspired to be a lawyer, he devoted years to finishing his BA  while working and supporting his family. Finally completing his law degree at the age of 55.  Practicing law from 2006-2013, he invested and fought for each client, helping many people.

He always strove to give back to his community; sponsoring scholarships, putting up posters all around his city to support local politicians, missionary work in Turkey, taking neighbors out to eat, and later as a member of the Rotary Club.

Even after his Alzheimer's diagnosis in 2013, he was still active and made people laugh whether it was the bank cashiers, at 7-11, or the table next to him at a restaurant. His generosity and humor touched the lives of many.

It is hard to summarize his life in one short bio. In all, he was a loving and dedicated son, husband, father, and grandfather.

We want to start this GoFundMe as an easy way for friends around the world to  honor his life with a small gift.

A majority of the funds will be used to help cover funeral expenses. In his spirit of generosity a portion will be donated to causes he would want to support which will be given in his name.

Thank you very much on behalf of the Loew Family.
