Honoring Tom Stutzman

In October 2022, weeks before his 65th birthday and not even 2 years into retirement our family received the life shattering news that our Dad (our hero), Tom Stutzman was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic pancreatic cancer. He is courageously battling this awful disease and inspiring us all everyday. Those who know our Dad know what an amazing person he is and I’m sure he’s made you laugh on any encounter you’ve had with him. Our Dad dedicated 14 years as a Park Commissioner with a handful of those years as the president at the Rolling Meadows Park District. He served as president for the boys baseball and soccer programs as well as helped start and run the first all girls house and travel soccer and all girls softball programs in Rolling Meadows. He spent his free time coaching his 3 kids and countless other youth in Rolling Meadows. To say he loved positively impacting youth sports and contributing his time to the park district would be an understatement. He gave so much of his time volunteering for the community he loved so much. He has set an amazing example for his 3 kids and so many other kids that he had the honor of coaching over the years. He loved the time he spent as a park district commissioner and dedicating his time to help the Rolling Meadows community continue to be the great place that it is to live today. My Dad was born and raised in Rolling Meadows and still lives there today, he is very proud of his community. We would love to honor our Dad and make sure his legacy lives on by raising money for the Rolling Meadows Park District Foundation in our dads name. If our Dad has impacted your life in some way through youth sports, the park district or any other way we would be so thankful to accept a donation on his behalf to continue the impact the Rolling Meadows Park District has on future generations to come.
