Honor Tony Mays: Fund a Trades Scholarship

Donation protected
In memory of the remarkable life of Tony Mays, his family is establishing this fund to support the creation of a charitable trades scholarship in his name.

Tony began his career in autobody and auto mechanics before transitioning to the Housing Authority as a maintenance technician, where he worked on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, general maintenance, and more.

With a vibrant personality and straightforward attitude, Tony was known for his eagerness to lend a helping hand and share his extensive knowledge with others. His skills as a handyman were unparalleled, and whether it was fixing a neighbor's car or offering advice, he was always willing to go out of his way to help anyone in need. He never met a stranger and enjoyed engaging with new people, no matter where he was.

We lost Tony on December 20, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer.

Our goal with this fund is to establish a scholarship to assist a student interested in pursuing a trade, with hopes of expanding it into something much larger. We aspire to see this scholarship fund grow to provide several scholarships per year and offer information on hospice care to the families of patients in need.

We aim not only to keep Tony's memory alive but also to ensure it continues to grow and provide support to our community.
