Honor Troy Rebel: Support The Rebel Rider Memorial Fund
Donation protected
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Troy Lee Rebel, who left us on September 4, 2024, at the age of 60. Troy was an extraordinary man who lived life with passion and adventure, from his 30+ years of service as a dedicated Lineman and Supervisor at Westar Energy to his love for the open road with the Steel Horses Motorcycle Club. His joy was infectious—whether it was found in a quiet day of fishing, celebrating with fellow Kansas City Chiefs fans, or making cherished memories with his family and grandchildren.
In honor of Troy’s adventurous spirit and the countless lives he touched, we have established The Rebel Rider Memorial Fund. Donations to this fund will help cover funeral, memorial, and medical expenses, with any remaining funds to be donated to a charity that reflects Troy’s values and passions. While we are still determining the specific charity, we will be sure to share the details with all who contribute once a decision is made.
If you would like to support us during this difficult time, donations can be made through GoFundMe. If you are interested in supporting by check, please message us here.
While we deeply appreciate any support, we want to stress that there is absolutely no obligation to donate. Your love, prayers, and thoughts during this challenging time are more than enough and mean the world to us.
Thank you for helping us honor Troy's incredible life and lasting legacy.
With love and gratitude,
