Honor Unsung Heros
Donation protected
Many of you on this list have a connection to the men I’m attempting to honor, regardless you have all benefited from their sacrifices. After 27 years of Marine Corps life, I have crossed paths with many fine Marines. The men I want to honor have walked the path of historical greatness but are by and large unsung heroes of our communities. Most are no longer with us but all made a profound impact on me.
What I’m asking for is the funds to have a walkway brick installed at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. For a donation of $300, their name rank and time in USMC, will be engraved on a brick lining the winding pathways to the rally points in Semper Fidelis Memorial Park overlooking the Museum’s awesome structure. The rally points will be places to reflect upon the sacrifices past and present Marines make to protect our Nation.
1. Cpl. Spencer “Bart” Bartholomew- Marine Raiders, Okinawa
2. Lt. Joe Rogers- Iwo Jima
3. Sgt. Jimmy Dukes -combat at Guadalcanal, He mustered out and then reenlisted again for Korea in in 1951
4. Sgt. ”Sully “ Sullivan- Korea
5. Sgt. Dan Richards -Korea Chosin Reservoir
6. Sgt Vincent Rigoni - Korea Chosin Reservoir
7. CWO-4. Wayne Silva - Khe Shanh, Desert Storm, OIF 1 and OIF 5
8. Dave Krueger Vietnam
9. Cpl. Phil Rosar Vietnam
These men served our country in time of war. They represented the Marine Corps in some of our most historical battles. They epitomized the Marine Corps in their exemplary post-war citizenship and contributions to their communities and their immediate families
On this Memorial Day Weekend, my hope is to immortalize them at the Crossroads of the Marine Corps.
