Honorary New York City Dog Mayor Election

Welcome to the GoFundme page for the election for Honorary New York City Dog Mayor! The first election consists of 16 candidates in a March Madness-style bracket. Canine-didates may be any breed of dog and must reside within the 5 boroughs of New York City. Voters may reside anywhere. The first election is free to enter.

 

The winner is crowned Honorary NYC Dog Mayor, with the runner-up being the Honorary Deputy Dog Mayor.

 

Elections are held once per year. Winning mayoral candidates may only serve 2 terms. The initial election will be held entirely online, with 1-2 live events at parks in New York City. These events may include live music, food trucks, fundraising for animal welfare/rescue services, voter registration, games for kids, and photo ops with the canine-didates.
