Honoring Adam: A Kind Soul Taken Too Soon

My name is Shayna Este and my son Adam Brown was tragically taken from me and his family and friends on December 16 of 2024 from a fatal shooting. It looks to have been an attempted robbery gone bad. Parents aren’t supposed to bury their children and this is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. These words are from my best friend in the universe and my name is Christina Rester. I have been given permission to set up this gofundme for our beloved AJ (Adam J Brown) and to try to say some words about AJ to express how she feels, as well as the rest of his family and friends. Because this happened unexpectedly, we were not prepared and do not have the funds for funeral expenses. He was killed in New Orleans East while on his job for COX Cable. Adam was one of the best human beings you could ever meet. If you knew him, you instantly fell in love. His kindness and compassion were infectious and just a smile from him would melt your heart and soul. AJ was only 35 years old and didn’t deserve to be taken away so violently or so soon. We are all so devastated and just grieving beyond belief. He was such an amazing person. He had no enemies, not a harsh word towards anyone.
