Honoring Amanda and Anna

Amanda Korbas and Anna Wilson were the best of friends. They were classmates at the University of California San Diego and both were due to graduate this June. They had their entire lives ahead of them. They loved to laugh and dance.
On Wednesday March 28th, the two friends were having the time of their lives in Puerto Penasco Mexico when they were involved in a tragic traffic accident and they both were taken to heaven.

The accident while tragic was not was not caused by drunk driving nor reckless driving. It was mainly the result of a widely acknowledged, very dangerous, poorly lighted and designed stretch of road.
We are in contact with the Consular staff in Puerto Penasco and a local community council made up of Mexican and American citizens to see what can be done to improve the signage, lighting and overall safety of this particularly dangerous stretch of road so as to help prevent any further tragedies there.
We plan on using any monies raised here to work with these groups and the local government to install said signage and cautionary lighting there. Any donations big or small would be greatly appreciated.
If for whatever reasons the funds raised cannot be used for this purpose, we would plan on donating the proceeds to the Make a Wish foundation, Amanda’s favorite charity.
