In the words of Ameer's family:
'In the heart of Palestine, Ameer Abu Aisha will remain the hero. No matter where Ameer's help was needed, he was always ready to help. He was a dedicated photographer and a vital part of the operation rooms at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Gaza.

On the 24 of March 2024, Ameer was shot in his pure, beautiful heart by the Israeli army in the besieged Al Amal hospital. He was killed while documenting the struggles of his people. The last video that he was able to document was only some minutes before his death: the video shows the violent bombing of Al Amal hospital. His bravery and dedication to shedding light on the harsh realities of life in Palestine remain a testament to his character and commitment to truth.

Ameer was targeted and killed but his untimely demise left his loved ones shattered but determined to carry on his legacy of truth and justice. Ameer was known by many around the world for his strength and big heart and empathy towards everyone. Despite the situation and hunger Ameer shared his food even with cats. He did not leave behind any soul without touching it by his beautiful character.

Left behind are his grieving mother, his father, and his four brothers' families, along with his sister’s family, all residing together in Deir al-Balah. Theirs is a story of profound loss, but also one of unwavering strength and solidarity amidst the fear of ground invasion and challenging circumstances.

Ameer's lens captured the soul of Palestine, revealing its beauty, pain, and unwavering spirit to the world. His work transcended mere photographs; it served as a testament to the resilience of his people and their unwavering quest for freedom.

Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference in the lives of this resilient family. Together, we can honor Ameer's memory and ensure that his family's light continues to shine bright amidst the darkness of their loss. Join us in standing with Ameer Abu Aisha's family as they navigate this difficult journey. Together, we can turn tragedy into triumph and sow the seeds of hope for a better tomorrow in Palestine.'
