Honoring and celebrating the life of Dave Funk

  On Monday, March 15, 2021, David J. Funk passed away suddenly.

  Dave was born and raised in Bucks County, PA. He was well-known in the community as a local business owner. His company, Newtown Electronics, formally known as Trevose TV & Electronics, has been in the Funk family for over 75 years. Dave had a passion for hamtronic and his Grandfather, Preston Funk is responsible for selling the first black and white TV in Bucks County. Dave worked very hard to create a wonderful life for himself and his family. He loved to spend his time riding his Harley, fishing and hunting with his friends and family, and working on his cars and motorcycle. Those who knew Dave knew that his favorite places to spend time were in the Northern PA Mountains and in his epic garage, which is decorated with a lifetime of memorabilia. Dave's passing was unexpected, the world lost a great man far too soon.  He is predeceased by his loving wife and best friend Leslie Dorothy Funk, by 7 years. He is survived by daughters Lindsay, Erin, Aubree, and Madison, his grandchildren Faith, Novella, Sophia and Cole. Dave lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment he could doing what he loved most. The family would like to celebrate his life in the same spirit he brought to his family and community.
