Honoring Asberry: A Call for Support
Donation protected
Update: I'd like to thank everyone who found it in their hearts to donate. AB had a beautiful homegoing service and I deeply appreciate everyone's kindness and assistance. Any donations moving forward with go to aid his wife and children as the transition into this period of life without him. Again, thank you
His Name was Asberry "AB" Patrick Elmore and I'm writing the worst thing I could imagine.
Some time ago AB fell grievously ill. It was then he learned he was going to need a new heart. Being the fighter we all knew him to be, he persevered, recovering and becoming heathly enough for when a suitable donor arose, he was able to take advantage of that opportunity. Fortunate that we were to find a heart, life as a organ recipient wasn't easy. True to form, however, AB continued moving through whatever struggles towards the best his life could be. It was a battle, and his body held as long as he could will it to.
On Monday, July 1st, AB was found unresponsive by his wife. Due to her swift action, AB was able to be revived and move to Ascension hispital where he struggled to hold on. If our love could have healed him, AB would've have ran from his hospital bed. Yet, his body had gone on as far as it could and on the morning of the 4th of July, with his wife at his side, he laid down his burdens and past on.
We lost Asberry Elmore; A Provider, a Protector, a kind soul and more genuine human being. We lost a friend, his mother an auspicious son, his kids a devoted father, his wife a loving husband. The absense his family feels is indescribable; we can't replace his presence but we can help. Whatever you can do will be appreciated.
