Ashley's obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ashley Drake-Morgan, who left us unexpectedly on November 10, 2024. Born on February 13, 1995, Ashley graced all those around her with her vivacious personality and loving nature. A source of light and joy, Ashley's life, although short, was filled with meaningful connections and acts of generosity.

Her friendly and bubbly character made her cherished among family and friends. She was not just a confidante to many, but also a beacon of affection and support. Ashley had an innate way of making those around her feel loved and cherished, and her ability to love well served as a life lesson to everyone who knew her.

Ashley's greatest pride and accomplishment was her beautiful daughter, Melody Renée Emery. Despite her premature departure, the bond she shared with Melody will stand the test of time. As her legacy, Melody will carry forward the love, light, and positivity her mother lived by.

Ashley is survived by her daughter, mentioned above; her brothers, Justin Earl Braziel and Joshua Hawkins; her grandmother, Melba Francine Burton; her step-father, Randy Kelly; as well as many other loving family members. ... She was preceded in death by her partner, Christian Matthew Emery; as well as her parents, Ellen Renée Burton and Ronald Ervine Drake-Morgan.

As Ashley now rests in the arms of Jesus, may her memory be as blessing to all who knew her. As the Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:1-2a: “For everything, there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die…” All of life has a beginning and end. We can rest in the fact that God has created both.

We will forever cherish our beloved Ashley Danielle for the joy and love she spread so generously. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Kingdom City Church, 2212 SW 55th St, Oklahoma City on Nov 30th at 2 pm.
