Patricia Delphane (Tanner) Simms, age 82, of 706 Jackson Street, Freehold, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, after a long illness.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Patricia was a beloved sister, aunt, and friend whose quiet strength and enduring kindness touched all who knew her. Her life was one of deep family ties, warmth, and quiet resilience.

She was predeceased by her loving parents, Alma M. and Charles C. Tanner, as well as her brothers Charles C. Tanner Jr., Herbert R. Tanner, Donald D. Tanner, and Bobby J. Tanner. She was also preceded in death by her dear sisters Arline D. Tanner, Shirley J. (Tanner) Johnson, and Gail M. (Tanner) Copeland.

Patricia is survived by her devoted sisters, Sondra (Tanner) Little of Asbury Park and Jerri Tanner of Delaware, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family who will carry her memory forward with love and gratitude.

Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and reserve will be remembered by those fortunate enough to have shared in her life.

Arrangements are being handled by Freeman Funeral Home, and services are planned for 25 April 25 at 1p.
