Honoring Baby John’s Short, Cherished Life

My name is Maurissa, and I'm raising these funds on behalf of my family to take this off their plate during these unexpected, heartbreaking times.

On January 17th, our hearts were shattered when our sweet baby John was unexpectedly called home. It’s a pain no parent, no brother, no grandparent, no family should ever have to endure. Baby John, born prematurely, fought with all his might from the moment he entered this world. Just days before his passing, we were filled with hope as he passed his 2-month checkup with flying colors. His tiny but mighty spirit had us believing that he would overcome any challenge.

In his 2 months with us, John filled our lives with so much love and joy. We will forever cherish the sound of his soft babbles, his beautiful smile, and the feeling of his tiny hands in ours. Even in his short time on this earth, he touched so many hearts and brought so much light to our lives. The pain of losing him is unbearable, but we take comfort in knowing that he is now surrounded by the loving arms of his Aunt Allyssa, Grandma Dee, Great-Grandma Nana Fran, and his Dedo.

The heartbreak of losing John so suddenly has left us devastated. No words can fully capture the pain we feel. As we navigate this overwhelming grief, we are reaching out for help to bring our precious boy back to New York, where he can rest peacefully with his family. The cost of this journey is something we never imagined we would have to face, but any support, no matter how small, would mean the world to us during this impossibly difficult time.
