Honoring Barbara Friedes: Aid for Her Loved Ones
Donation protected
With extreme sadness we are sharing the tragic news that our beloved CHOP Chief Resident, Barbara Friedes, has died after a terrible accident 7/17 evening. This news is unimaginably devasting to all her know her - most importantly her devoted husband, Cole and her loving family. There are no words to express the collective grief we are all feeling.
Barbara represents the best in all of us. She has always been a shining light in our worlds - and we know that's only a small portion of her world and her impact. She is someone who embodied kindness, strength, a deep compassion, and tremendous love for all who crossed her path. We, in program leadership, remain in shock and deep sadness. The loss of Barbara is devastating. We can't begin to imagine the deep loss this is for our entire community.
We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support for Barbara's husband and family and requests to help. We have set up a GoFundMe account for the family which will go directly to them during this time of need.
With all our love and appreciation. Please bring Barbara's spirit forward with you each day.
