Honoring Barbara Wade: A Mother's Legacy

In life, we are given the blessing of sight to see the wonders of the world God has created. The blessing of touch to feel the sensation of texture and temperature, but there is no blessing that can equal a mother's love. My mother Barbara Wade was that blessing for me. She was a champion of culture, community and more than anything a champion for her family. She was a proud member of the Miami Northwestern Class of 57, and an Alumni of Virgina State University. Throughout her professional career she held positions of distinction with Miami-Dade county Tri-City division, The "M" Ensemble theater company, YWCA, and achieved the rank of captain for the Elite security and protection firm. But the crown of her professional achievements was her ownership of the Rainbow Room restaurant within the Historic Hampton House hotel. She was the epitome of class, distinction and grace, but there are no words that can describe her unyielding dedication to being a mother. My mother was my unwavering supporter, defender and provider for 48 years, and now I seek to lay her to rest, with honor, as she has requested. The back-to-back passing of my father Henry Wade, and my uncle Leroy Williams has depleted our family mentally, emotionally, and financially. I humbly solicit your assistance to honor my mother's life and commitment to our family. There is no way I can repay the blessing of her love and dedication, but this will be my whisper of thanks for all she has done. I'd really appreciate your help in that effort. Thank you
