Honoring Brian Bonfiglio: Support His Family
Donation protected
Brian Bonfiglio was a warrior, a husband, a father a grandfather, and a good friend. He is gone too soon and will be missed by many.
Brian worked at both Kroll and Dyn-Corp before coming to Blackwater to start the company’s diplomatic security program. Fig was responsible for starting one of the most storied government contracts in history. Thousands of men served our nation by and through his efforts. He commenced and ran a diplomatic protection operation in two different war zones - and never lost a protectee. By any measure, Brian was a patriot and a hero.
Brian’s epic career was not what he was most proud of. He was proudest of his daughters (Alex and Lexi) and his grandchildren, (Noah, Ryder, Aila, Alaya). He was also a devoted son and brother and spoke frequently about his parents, his brother (Tony) and his sister (Christine).
Brian wouldn’t want a sob story to be told. He was far too stoic to complain or air his bad news. But life wasn’t kind to Brian after his days at Blackwater. His family is not only reeling from his loss, but also the cost of funeral services and the loss of support. They cannot give Brian the send off he deserves without help.
The Blackwater Family has always done amazing things for each other when there is a need. The Bonfiglio’s are in need now…and I hope we will all rise to the occasion. God Bless you, Fig….
Fig’s service will be held August 24@ 2:00pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home in Virginia Beach (beach location).
