Honoring Buzzy's Life: Funeral Fund

Donation protected
Judy "Buzzy" Smith, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on November 26, 2024, at the age of 63 at her home in Colorado Springs.

Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she carried the values of love and kindness instilled by her parents into her own family, and her work as a nurse in her younger years. As a devoted mother, Buzzy cherished her three sons.

Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support were the foundation of their lives, and she took immense pride in their achievements and happiness. Buzzy's home was always filled with warmth and laughter, a testament to her caring nature and the deep love she had for her family. Buzzy was known for her boundless compassion and her ability to touch the lives of those around her. Her kindness extended beyond her family, as she was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends and strangers alike. Her empathetic nature and genuine concern for others left a lasting impact on everyone she met. Throughout her life, Buzzy exemplified the virtues of love, kindness, and generosity. Her legacy is one of a life well-lived, filled with moments of joy and acts of selflessness. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Buzzy's memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends, who will continue to honor her life by embodying the compassion and love she so freely gave.

I am raising funds during this unimaginable time to help with the costs we have incurred for our mom's funeral service and cremation, which is what she wanted. She did not have any type of insurance which could have helped with something as tragic as this. Not only is our family overwhelmed with grief of losing our mom, but also the unexpected financial costs that come with such a loss.

Any sort of contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference during this trying time. If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with others who may be able to help. Your generosity would mean a great deal to us.

All funds raised will go directly to helping our family cover the incurred funeral costs, her bills, and any other unexpected expenses. Remaining excess donations will be donated to the Soka Gakkai International (SGI-USA), the Buddhist organization where she and her mother were members at.
