Honoring Chuck Schucht: Volunteer Ambulance Driver
Donation protected
Charles Schucht passed away suddenly while on duty in his uniform ready to serve. We are shocked that such a pillar of our organization is no longer with us.
Chuck worked for Verizon for 48 years and retired in December of 2016. He was the Telephone Pioneers of America's past council and chapter president. He has been a Ramsey resident for 70 years and was extremely active in the Little League as his son played for many years. Chuck met and married his wife Cindy who grew up in the house behind his in Ramsey.
After retiring, Chuck looked for something meaningful to fill his days. He applied and was welcomed into the RAC family. Chuck served as the Head Trustee, the Corresponding Secretary, and the Fund Drive co-chair. We kept him super busy and he was the glue that held everything together.
Chuck was a dedicated Driver, Head Trustee, and Ramsey Ambulance Volunteer Extraordinaire for over 7 years.
Chuck sincerely enjoyed being able to help those in need during stressful times in their life. He rode all the overnight shifts and if you call him during the day, he’s always there for the crew or a community function.
He adored his grandson and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Ramsey Ambulance Corps was extremely fortunate to have such a member as Chuck who truly is concerned and dedicated to helping others.

As Chuck answered the call and helped literally thousands of patients, so now his family needs our help. Please consider contributing to the financial stability of Chuck’s family, as they adjust to the new and very difficult reality without him along with the funeral expenses.
Thank you for your support for the family that shared this heroic individual with the community.
