Honoring Charlie’s Memory by Supporting His Sons

Charles Lee Wier was born on January 21, 1994. He was a very active preschooler and remained that way the rest of his life that was taken too soon. Charlie, as known to his large family, loved to play. He loved to swim and was fearless trying flips and somersaults off the diving board. Charlie was very athletic starting at an early age. He loved to go snowboarding with his dad and brother, and water ski in the summer. Charlie read every single Harry Potter book at least five times. That and the Star Wars series were his favorite.
As an adult, he preferred the Kansas City Chiefs over the Detroit Lions, which warmed his mom‘s heart. Charlie was not only about fun. His heart was so big and anyone who saw him rock a baby for hours at a time knew that. He was only 12 when his first niece was born, and he had a hard time putting her down.
In recent years, Charlie’s greatest love were his two sons, Derek Anthony and Christian Noah. The senseless violence that took him away from all of his family and friends as well as his precious sons has left a hole in many many hearts. However, we are confident he is with his Lord and Savior as Charlie was faithful about pursuing a relationship with Christ.
