Honoring Chris Graven: A Life Well Lived
Donation protected
Hello everyone, I am writing this on behalf of my sister Donie. It is with a heavy heart to share the news of Chris' passing with you all. To know him was to love him. He was an amazing dad, husband, son, brother, friend, golfer (depending on the day), and all around just a good dude. Chris could light up any room and was truly "the life of the party". The void left by his passing will never be filled. He was one of a kind.
Chris was very private in his journey with ALS so this may come as a surprise to many. His symptoms began August 2022, he was officially diagnosed May 2023 and has had a rapid decline since then. Through it all I never heard Chris complain, just take on each new symptom like a champ. He pushed himself everyday to show up and be the best father he could be, despite his circumstances. His will to fight and strength during this last year will always be something I'll admire.
Lots of people have been reaching out and asking how they can help. This page. This is how you can help. Share it, donate, anything helps. With Chris passing so suddenly, my hope is that this page can provide some financial relief to Donie and the boys. Allowing her to have time off to be with the kids and process this new reality. The weeks and months ahead are going to be hard, please continue to keep the Graven's in your hearts, thoughts and prayers.
Information regarding services for Chris are not yet available but we will be updating everyone through social media as details begin to get sorted out.
Thank you for your love and support.
