Honoring Coach Bill Metzger's Legacy
Donation protected
We are heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Coach William "Bill" Metzger, a beloved father, grandfather, friend, partner and coach. Coach Bill left us on January 16, 2024, at the age of 55. He was a genuinely nice guy who could get along with anyone and always found a way to bring a smile to those around him.
Bill was passionate about football and spent 31 years coaching youth teams. His dedication to his players was evident in the strong connections he made and his commitment to help them chase their dreams.
To honor Bill's legacy and fulfill his wishes to be remembered fondly as Coach Bill Metzger we are raising $6000 to cover the costs associated with his memorial and to establish a lasting tribute in his name. Your generous contributions will help ensure that Coach Bill Metzger is remembered and commemorated for the positive impact he made in so many lives of the youth.
The funds raised will be used for:
• Creating a commemorative plaque or bench at the local football field where Bill spent countless hours coaching and mentoring
• Any remaining funds will be donated to a Youth football program in Bill’s honor.
Description of tribute benches
“Dedicate an existing park bench ($1,500) or refurbish one that’s already in the perfect spot ($3,500). Make a big impact by adding a new bench or table ($5,500 – $10,000 depending on location).”
This fundraiser will have updates and full transparency on how 100% of these funds will be spent.
