With the heaviest of hearts we share the unexpected passing of Coach Danny Gonzalez- husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Coach Gonzalez went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, February 1, 2025. There are not enough words in the world to begin to describe the type of man he was, but I hope my words help paint a picture:
His love for his family was unconditional and his spark for life was unwavering. His smile was electric and his sense of humor was absolutely unmatched with his corny jokes. His passion was being a basketball coach, but his hobby was yard-saling on the weekends. He loved finding old furniture to refurbish! Most weekends my mom would call and say, “Guess what we are doing” and I instantly knew, yard-saling! There wasn’t a jacuzzi in which he didn’t find a friend to talk basketball with. Many times, we would find him sitting in bed reading his Bible with his headlamp on and just laugh because he was so unique and creative. He was most proud of the 75’ tv he had in his bedroom, but swore it was for his daughters. He was the HEART of our family.
The emotional pain and heartache from this loss is difficult, but we truly thank those who have reached out and continue to reach out. It is so beautiful to know our father inspired so many people. As we begin to prepare services, we kindly ask for any donations. These donations will help toward medical bills, funeral expenses, and memorial expenses.
If you would like to donate, but not through GoFund Me, please reach out to me directly.
Please know any support you can provide to our family is greatly appreciated and we sincerely thank you. Rest in Peace Coach..
