Honoring Connie Borges: Support for Final Expenses

With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Connie Borges on August 12, 2024, in Oakland, surrounded by dear friends. Though she resided in Oakland for the past 20 years, her heart remained deeply rooted in Marin County, where she was born and raised.

Connie's legacy as a Case Manager was one of unparalleled dedication and compassion. She knew and cared deeply for the most vulnerable in Marin, providing basic needs, invaluable advice, direction, and accountability when needed—but above all, she offered love and hope to generations facing extreme challenges. Her work at HomeRise in San Francisco, as well as in Marin at St. Vincent de Paul, Ritter Center and MCIL, touched countless lives. Connie also served selflessly on numerous nonprofit boards across Marin County, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.

For nearly 30 years, the Harry Potter community knew her as Sky Hallow, a name that symbolized the joy and magic she brought to her life and the lives of others. Her love for Harry Potter was a testament to her vibrant spirit and boundless imagination.

Connie was a beacon of light and an unwavering force of positivity. Her passing leaves a void that can never be filled, and the countless friends who mourn her are a testament to the lives she enriched. Connie was preceded in death by her beloved parents.
