Craig Roberts
June 17, 1962 - February 15, 2025
We are raising money for DC Central Kitchen in honor of Craig Roberts, a man whose life was defined by generosity, mentorship, and an unwavering commitment to others. For decades, Craig was a pillar of the Capitol Hill community—a friend, mentor, and advocate who made time for everyone, from the most senior officials to interns just finding their way. He believed in people, investing in their success without expectation and was always lifting others up.
Craig never met a stranger and had an unmatched ability to make everyone feel seen and valued. Whether offering career advice, celebrating life’s milestones, or simply sharing a meal or glass of red wine, Craig brought people together with warmth and sincerity. He never hesitated to help—be it through a quiet act of generosity, a well-timed introduction, or a heartfelt conversation. His legacy isn’t just in the hundreds of careers he shaped or the friendships he built, but in the way he made others feel: respected, supported, and understood. We are all better people today because we knew Craig.
DC Central Kitchen embodies Craig’s values—nurturing talent, creating opportunities, treating everyone with dignity and respect, and ensuring no one is ever forgotten. More than just providing meals, DC Central Kitchen fights hunger and poverty by offering culinary job training to those facing barriers to employment, ensuring everyone has access to the dignity of work. At its core, their mission is about investing in people, just as Craig always did. Supporting this cause honors Craig’s lifelong dedication to service and furthers his legacy of unwavering selflessness, generosity, and making a difference in the lives of others.
