Honoring Dana Portnoy: A Celebration of Life

Hello family and friends,

As most of you know, my beloved father, Dana Portnoy, recently passed away on May 27, 2024.

We have contemplated setting up this GoFundMe for some time now, as my family and I usually don’t seek or ask for help. With that being said, I have decided to post this GoFundMe, and feel it’s necessary, in order to give my Pops the ‘Celebration of Life’ that he truly deserves!

He was the definition of ‘self-less’ a compassionate man, husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather. He spent SO much of his time & life giving to others, and we feel we should return the favor by giving him a BIG celebration in his honor, with ANY & ALL who loved him!!

Unfortunately, the family has accumulated a lot of expenses since his passing, like most do, after paying the funeral home, and trying to tie up so many loose ends. Not to mention, my poor mother is STILL in-between hospitals/rehabs, that too, have been rather costly. Which, is one of the reasons we have decided to wait until the fall, as she needs to get stronger and healthy so she can attend..it’s a MUST! …that, and the heat ;)

All donations will go towards funeral/cremation costs, medical expenses, renting a provided space to gather (preferably an outdoor venue), travel, printing of memorabilia/pictures, and of course, feeding all the lovely guests.
