Honoring Darryl: A Life Taken Too Soon

It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the loss of our dear friend and colleague, Darryl Scott, who was tragically taken from us due to gun violence on April 23, 2025.

My name is Allison Hershberger, and I am the owner of Parties & Props Event Production Group. I had the honor and privilege of working alongside Darryl for more than two and a half years. Darryl wasn’t just an incredible employee — he was family. His bright smile, infectious laugh, and kind heart touched everyone around him. He was the kind of person who lit up any room he walked into, and his absence leaves an unimaginable void in our hearts and in our team.

Darryl was deeply loved by his coworkers, friends, and family. He was hardworking, loyal, and always the first to lend a helping hand. Outside of work, he had a deep love for his dogs and was unwavering in his dedication to the people he cared about.

We are still in shock as we grieve this tragic loss. Police are continuing their investigation, and while we hope for justice, we are now focused on supporting Darryl’s family during this incredibly difficult time.

We are asking for your help in raising funds to assist with funeral expenses and provide support to his family as they navigate this heartbreaking loss. Any amount, no matter how small, would mean so much to all of us who loved Darryl.
