Honoring Derek Vandals Legacy support for Derek's son's

On Saturday June 8, 2024 we were all stunned by the news of Derek Vandal’s untimely passing. Most that knew Derek, knew him as a loving father and almost sole provider of 4 resilient young men: Devan (19), Logan (17), Connor (16), and Jaxson (11). The three older boys had already lost their mother and now have been left without their rock.

Josh and Amanda Vandal are handling custody arrangements for Logan and Connor and Jaxson is with his mom, but the realization is upon everyone that like many young, strong men Derek may not have been thinking about being gone before his boys as no one has been able to track down any life insurance policies.

We feel the love from Derek’s extensive village and so many have been repeatedly asking how they can help so we have felt the best option is to establish this Go FundMe which will solely benefit the 4 boys. We know Derek would hate this, but we do not want to leave you, his friends and loved ones feeling like you want to honor him and just aren’t sure how to.

Any contributions received will be equally distributed to benefit each boy: Devan, Logan, Connor, and Jaxson.

Again, we cannot say enough how much we feel the love you all have shown and how humble we have been made by your selfless desires to help. Thank you seems so small and while a big giant Derek bear-hug is what we would love to give, all we can do is offer our gratitude in your commitment to ensuring these boys are given the best shot for the journey ahead.
