Honoring Doug Wiebe's Legacy Through Music

Doug Wiebe’s deep connection with music, particularly guitar, was a cornerstone of his life. His passion for the instrument began at a young age and blossomed through his high school years at JH Bruns Collegiate. Known for his dedication, Doug pushed himself to master the guitar, sharing his talents with family and friends. It was through music that Doug expressed his curiosity, creativity, and strength—qualities that remained with him throughout his courageous battle with cancer.

In Doug’s memory, we are working to establish a sustainable bursary for future guitar students at JH Bruns Collegiate, giving aspiring musicians the opportunity to pursue their passion just as Doug did.

Should the bursary not be possible, the funds raised will be donated to The Never Alone Foundation, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by cancer. The foundation provides emotional, financial, and practical support, helping patients and their families navigate the challenges of cancer treatment and recovery, just as they did for Doug.
