In Loving Memory of Emily Suzanne Ritter

Emily Suzanne Ritter, born February 11, 1980, in Pennsylvania, passed away on December 14th due to complications of stomach cancer. She leaves behind a legacy of love and inspiration cherished by her husband, Jonathan; her beloved children, Caleb, Kaia, and Joshua; her devoted parents, Jim and Suzanne Redding; and her brother and lifelong friend, Ryan. Emily also held a special place in her heart for her aunts, uncles, and cousins, whose love and guidance shaped her life in countless meaningful ways.

Emily's love for learning and teaching was a guiding light throughout her life. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and her master’s in Math Education from Anderson University. For nearly 20 years, she shared her passion for mathematics and her unwavering support with students at Noblesville Schools, shaping countless lives with her kindness and dedication.

On April 1, 2022, Emily married Jonathan Ritter, a day that marked the blending of two families and the beginning of a new chapter filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Together with their children, they found joy in life’s simple pleasures, from hiking through breathtaking landscapes to tackling high ropes courses. Emily’s adventurous spirit was matched only by the depth of her love for her family.

Emily’s life will be celebrated on December 29th at 1 pm at the Delaware Township Government Center, 9090 E 131st St, Fishers, IN 46038. True to her nature, Emily requested a gathering filled with laughter, stories, and fond memories rather than a formal service.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a fund dedicated to supporting the college educations of Caleb, Kaia, and Joshua, ensuring Emily’s love and dedication to learning lives on through her children.

Emily Suzanne Ritter was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a treasured daughter, a cherished sister, and a true friend. Her warm smile and compassionate heart touched all who knew her. She will be remembered always, not for the length of her life, but for the depth of the love she gave and the joy she brought to the lives of others.
