Honoring Flo Hollingsworth: Celebrate her life!

Hi, my name is Kathy Kollars, and I am establishing a GoFundMe on behalf of the Hollingsworth family. If you would like to contribute to the family for Flo’s celebration of life, forthcoming in the Spring of 2025, this will be the means to bless the family in that desire.

We are all devastated by the unexpected loss of Flo Hollingsworth on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the young age of 58. Words are hard to find to describe the loss and absence of such a true gift from God, but what we can effortlessly do is express how wonderful of a person Flo was and how she impacted our lives.

Flo touched so many people with her kind, bubbly personality. She was an amazing mom, sister, aunt, and friend; always lending her time, an ear, and her shoulder. Flo was fun-loving, kind-spirited, and had a way of inspiring those around her. She encouraged everyone to be better, all-around human beings and was a fierce advocate for doing what was right. She brought so much joy and light into every room she entered. Flo was the embodiment of love, grace, and laughter. Flo deeply loved and treasured her family, friends, her teammates at work, and her community.

Flo had always been a talented artist, using many ways to share her creativity. She sewed her children’s clothes when they were young, she crocheted blankets or hats for anyone that asked or just because. She also drew, doodled, and painted on myriad canvases or even just on scratch paper to decorate her office. Flo loved to karaoke with family and friends. She was the first one up to the DJ booth to sign up for a bunch of her favorite songs. She cheered the rest of us on or joined in with us when we were nervous.

As you read this homage, it’s evident, Flo was the backbone to those surrounding her and will be missed more than words spoken or tears cried. We are all better people to have been part of Flo’s life as she was such a blessing. God is near to all of us who are grieving and will continue to comfort us in all the days ahead, but remember Flo is not far; she’s alive in our hearts and our vibrant memories. We will see her again in her glorious new home in Heaven.

Flo’s great legacy includes her three beautiful children, Brandi, Josh, and Rachael, and her 8-year-old grandson, Davey.
