Honoring Florence Blackwell & Supporting Her Son, Jonathan

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,

On February 4th, we lost a beautiful soul, Florence Blackwell, lovingly known as “Aunt Sassy.” She was a guiding force of kindness, always wearing a warm smile that could brighten even the darkest days. Florence’s two favorite things were her son, Jonathan, and poetry. Her talent was undeniable—one of her poems is even set to be published, a testament to her creative heart and beautiful spirit.

While we grieve her loss, Jonathan is facing unimaginable challenges of his own. He has been in the hospital for over a month, battling a severe infection and other undiagnosed health complications. As he fights for his recovery, he is also enduring the heartbreaking loss of his beloved mother from a hospital bed, unable to grieve properly.

Bills continue to accumulate, and Jonathan now faces the additional burden of Florence’s cremation expenses. We are asking for donations in place of flowers to help with Florence’s final arrangements and support Jonathan with his bills while he remains hospitalized. More than anything, we want to ensure that Jonathan has a home to return to once he recovers.
