Honoring Floyd and Sandy O'Dowd: Help the family heal

On September 15, 2024, our parents were taken from us due to a choice made by a single person. This person chose to cross into the oncoming lane of a two-lane highway to pass vehicles in front of them. This decision led to a tragic accident that took the lives of Sandy and Floyd O'Dowd, beloved parents and pillars of our community. Their 18-year-old daughter, Angel, was also in the vehicle and miraculously survived. She now faces a challenging road ahead as she recovers from the physical and mental pain of this senseless event.

Sandy and Floyd loved their family deeply. In addition to raising their own children, they opened their hearts and homes to countless others over the years. They were the couple who provided a safe haven for all, making sure everyone had a present at Christmas and a place to celebrate any and all other occasions.

Sandy and Floyd contributed to the Northern Colorado community in many ways. They were small business owners and used their standing in the community to organize toy drives and provide non-profit services. They utilized their network of friends, family, and customers to expand their support for the causes they believed in. They consistently gave so much to others, without asking for anything in return, even when they didn't have it to give.

Their impact on the Colorado community was immeasurable, touching the lives of so many. Their loss will be felt in the community for years to come.
