Honoring Francesco’s life: supporting his family.

Hello, I am Samantha, a friend of Francesco who died in a horrible base jump accident on 25th May.

I met Francesco few years ago. He convinced me to go to Seychelles and to take part to the first skydiving boogie. He welcomed me in his house, I spent beautiful time together with his son Matteo and his daughter Giada, like a family!

This was Francesco, a good heart man, a piece of bread, as we say in Italy: soft and nice.

Always kind to people, generous, helpful, a dreamer who believed in the good in humans.

Passionate of skydiving, he was the soul of the Drop zone in Flyseychelles, He hosted the top world champions in the skydiving industry. He put his heart in organizing the beautiful skydiving events in many Seychelles Islands: Colors of Seychelles, Birds of Paradise and the famous Tsunami boogie with Richard Grimm.

He always wanted to do one base jump, but friends told him off as he is, he was, not super young and not the best of the skydivers. He secretly went to a base course to do it before he turned 60. He only wanted to do one jump, and it was one jump only: he died as a student on his first attempt.

I am creating this fundraising to support the children during this hard time and for their future needs. Francesco didn’t have any insurance so these money will be used for the body repatriation approx. 6000 euros, as he is still in a fridge cell in Norway, for the funeral and memorial approx. 6000 euros and the rest to help financially Matteo and Giada until they become independent.
