Honoring Heather's Love for Life, Friends, Family

At a too early age,  Heather Alhadeff passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Heather had a congenial smile, a passionate spirit for life, family, friends, transportation around Atlanta, and soccer.  She was loved by all who knew her. She was our Castleberry friend that brought us together.

A native of Atlanta, Heather received her undergraduate degree from Georgia State and master’s degree from Georgia Tech.  She was an accomplished transportation planner and recognized expert in land use planning, transportation engineering, and urban design. Heather  impacted our lives in many ways, she was at the forefront of the development of the Beltline,  and more recently involved in many MARTA initiatives.

For those fortunate enough to call her friend, she will always be a part of our memories and we are grateful for her amazing friendship and support. To Miguel and Achilles, we will always be here for you.  Heather's warmth and passion for life made her truly special. Her legacy will shine brilliantly for many years to come.  She made Atlanta walkable, liveable and loveable. She walked the talk!

Friends and family are planning multiple activities to honor her and keep her memory alive, including planting trees and  creating a peaceful space where we can meet and share memories about her.
