Honoring Hermine Kazanjian: Support Families in Lebanon

Donation protected
It is with great sadness that I announce Hermine Kazanjian has passed away on September 7, 2024. She was born February 21, 1935 in Achrafieh, Lebanon, the daughter of Serpouhi and Hagop Sarafian. Her Christian faith was very important to her, as she read the Bible every day, prayed for her loved ones, and attended Sunday service.

Hermine immigrated to Fresno, CA with her family in December 1983. When her husband, Nazar Kazanjian, passed away shortly after they arrived in Fresno, she dedicated her life in supporting her family. She had a long, successful career as a seamstress, working for many different department stores. She made many sacrifices along the way and always put others first. She was a true inspiration for all of us.

In her free time, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed storytelling, cooking authentic Armenian food, and listening to music. She was an exceptional mother figure, and she will be forever missed.

Hermine will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, radiant smile, and as a devoted, loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her two children, three grandchildren, and her extended family.

In honor of her memory, we kindly ask for donations. Lebanon always had a special place in her heart. Her greatest aspiration was to visit her home country and help people in need. The money raised will be sent to families in Lebanon who are in need of assistance.
