Honoring Iya Ibrahima: Support His Family
Donation protected
It is with deep sorrow that I share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our dear colleague, Iya Ibrahima, on November 27. Ibrahima was a cherished member of the Peace Corps Cameroon family, dedicating over 29 years of his life to service. He began his journey with Peace Corps as a gardener in regional office and training center in Ngaoundere before becoming Lead Janitor in our main office in Yaoundé, where he served as a beloved presence in our community.
Ibrahima was deeply rooted in his faith and had an immense love for his family and colleagues. His unwavering dedication, kindness, and quiet strength touched all who had the privilege of working with him.
He leaves behind his wife and five children, and his absence will be profoundly felt by all of us at Peace Corps. Ibrahima’s legacy of service, compassion, and dedication will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Let us come together to honor his remarkable life and the lasting impact he had on our team and the broader community. Please join me in extending our deepest sympathy and support to his family during this incredibly difficult time.
