Honoring a Life of Service: In Memory of a Beloved EMT
It is with unimaginable grief and heavy hearts that we share the devastating loss of our beloved Jacob, who tragically passed away at just 20 years old in a heartbreaking accident while doing the job he loved—serving others as an EMT.
From the time he was only 4 years old, Jacob knew exactly what he wanted to be. While most children were still dreaming about superheroes, he had already discovered his passion: emergency medical services. He never wavered, never second-guessed. Becoming an EMT wasn’t just a career to him—it was a calling.
He worked hard, studied endlessly, and poured every ounce of his heart into helping others. His dedication and compassion touched every life he encountered. Whether on a routine call or a life-or-death situation, Jacob showed up with unwavering strength, empathy, and purpose.
The accident that claimed his life occurred as he was returning from transporting a critically ill patient to VCU Hospital in Richmond, VA. Even in his final hours, he was doing what he loved most—caring for someone in need.
We are completely shattered by this loss. He was not only a bright light in our family but also in the lives of so many patients, coworkers, and friends. His memory will live on in the stories of those he helped, the hearts he touched, and the legacy of kindness and service he leaves behind.
We’ve created this GoFundMe to support his parents during this unimaginable time, and honor Jacob’s life in a way that reflects the incredible person he was. Any donation, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated. Even if you are unable to give, we ask that you share his story and help us celebrate a young man who lived with purpose and died a hero.
Thank you for keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers.
With love and gratitude,
