Honoring Jake Child: Help Us Remember

Donation protected
We write to you today representing a family with grief and heavy hearts due to the sudden loss of our sweet Jake Child. Jake was a beacon of kindness, love, and compassion in this world that we hope continues to shine brightly as we are left to navigate it without him.

Jake had so much strength throughout his life, navigating an overwhelming battle with mental illness. We are so thankful that we have been blessed with his spirit, but it is difficult to really know what the world has lost in the wake of his departure. Our only hope is that he will continue to be our Patronus as he was in life.

“Do not pity the dead, Harry. Pity the living, and, above all, those who live without love.” - Professor Albus Dumbledore

On October 21, 2024, Jake embarked from this life onto the next. As we attempt to honor him in death, we admit that we are in the depths of despair over the sudden loss of our Jake.

As we understand more in the coming days, a GoFundMe felt like the best avenue right now for those who would like to help, to be able to do so without current direction from his longtime partner, Natasha. As of now, I don't think anyone knows what the need is but to take care of Jake with as much love as we did in life.

We know we are not the only ones who lost Jake and invite all those to grieve with us.

“Expecto Patronum!”
