“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4
Our beloved Elizabeth lost her son James, known to all as "King James," on August 24th. James was an incredible young man who brought joy, humor, thoughtfulness, and caring to all of our lives, whether we knew him from Beth’s stories or from spending time with James. His recently acquired ability to communicate using an assistive device allowed his personality to shine through. As Beth describes him, James was a smart, funny, opinionated, compassionate, sassy, incredibly hardworking and unfailingly tenacious young man.
No mother ever plans to bury their baby. We are here to carry her and her daughter Maritza through this extremely difficult process of laying to rest a young man gone too soon. James' story and legacy will continue to impact many children and families.
Beth’s generosity of spirit and commitment to all families, no matter their struggles and regardless of their gifts is one of the greatest blessings bestowed on all of us who know her and knew James.
Your Support is Needed
Beth has devoted her life to giving to others as a mother, advocate, devoted church member, colleague and friend. We ask that you now join us in supporting her. Any amount you can contribute will go a long way toward helping Beth with funeral and other expenses over the next few months.
