Honoring The Life & Memory of Jason Pritchard

In a random and tragic act of violence, Jason Pritchard (44) of Madison was taken from our family too soon. On his way home to his parents' house on Friday, May 5th, Jason stopped at the Badger Tavern on Seminole Highway to relax and have a drink, and chat with his parents over the phone. After he concluded some phone calls, he was talking with other fellow patrons when he was suddenly, and seemingly without reason, shot at close range in the chest. He was deceased almost instantaneously.

While police are still investigating the motive behind the shooting, our family has been working to secure a respectful and timely funeral for Jason. Unfortunately, funds for this are not readily available to us, and that is where we need your help.

We are seeking to raise money to help pay for the funeral and related expenses to bury Jason with dignity and afford our family some solace as we conclude this chapter of our life.

Many people will remember Jason for his charisma, strength, and unwavering attitude to embrace life fully. He was typically the life of the party wherever he went and brought contagious laughter and spirit that ensured lasting memories for all around him. All are welcome to join us for Jason's Visitation on Friday, May 19th, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Cress Funeral & Cremation Service (3610 Speedway Rd. in Madison) and Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 20th, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church (5313 Flad Ave. in Madison) with the burial to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery (2705 Regent St. in Madison).
