Jeffrey "Jeffe" A. Herrera, 61, of Red River, NM, passed away on December 27, 2024.
A proud Denver native, Jeff moved to Red River in 2001 and quickly became known for his larger-than-life personality. A diehard Denver Broncos fan, champion soccer player, and darts enthusiast, Jeff could talk sports with anyone. His deep love for Donald Trump and his famous "Trump shirt" sparked many laughs and debates. A jokester and storyteller, Jeff loved spinning tales of riches and collectables. He also cherished Red River’s annual Harley Davidson T-shirt event, never missing the chance to add another one to his collection.
Jeff held many jobs throughout his life but took the most pride in caring for others and being a friend to all. He was born on January 10, 1963, to Jack and Odila Herrera and was preceded in death by his father, Jack, and his brother, Scott. He is survived by his daughter, Tonya R. Jury; granddaughter, Murphy R. Jury; his mother, Odila; sisters, Jackie, Myra, and Lynn; and many nieces and nephews.
Jeff’s vibrant personality and warm spirit will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
