Honoring Jeffrey Yawn: Support His Final Farewell

Donation protected
Jeffrey Yawn was a great man who put everyone’s needs above his own. He was the embodiment of selflessness. My father served his community for 35 years as a professional educator with Hillsborough County Public Schools. I’ve always admired how he dedicated his entire life to serving his students. My dad had a plethora of family, students, and staff who knew and loved him deeply. Mr. Yawn always made his students feel seen and heard. He would emphasize that he did not work with "bad kids," but rather with kids who were in bad situations.

My father was the second youngest of ten children born to my grandmother. He had to bury his youngest brother, just two weeks before passing away himself. This has been an extremely difficult time for the Yawn family, losing two family members whom we loved dearly. My father and uncle were best friends, and now they will be best friends in heaven. Unfortunately, my father wasn’t able to truly enjoy his retirement due to his battle with dementia. The dementia became so aggressive that it became extremely difficult for him to manage his daily routine, finances, and way of life. This was particularly burdensome for my father because he was such an independent man.

All donations will go toward giving my father a proper farewell and getting his family affairs in order. Thank you for your generosity.
