Honoring Jhony with Love & Support for the Whites

We are uniting hearts together to honor Jhony White, a beloved young man who touched the lives of everyone he encountered. Very tragically, on Saturday, July 22 at Kolob Reservoir, Jhony slipped underwater while swimming after what we suspect was an asthma attack. He was life-flighted to a trauma center, and despite the valiant efforts of medical professionals, taken off life support on Monday. As we mourn the loss of this vibrant spirit, we are also called to action to support his loving family during this difficult time.

Jhony and his younger brother Kevin were born and raised in Colombia. However, fate had other plans for them when they were blessed with the opportunity to find a forever home with Bronwyn and Dave, who lovingly adopted them and brought them to St. George, UT. Together, they formed a family bound by adventure, love, hope, and dreams.

Jhony was more than just a son and a brother; he was a beacon of light on the soccer field and in every aspect of life. His sweet spirit, infectious laughter, and compassionate heart made him an instant favorite among his soccer team and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Jhony's ability to find joy in the simplest of things and his unwavering kindness toward others left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.

In the wake of this heartbreaking event, we extend our deepest sympathy to Bronwyn, Dave, and Kevin. We also are remembering Jhony's brother-in-heaven, Hudson. Losing another child and brother is an unimaginable burden to bear, and the emotional and financial toll can be overwhelming. As a community, we have the power to come together and provide them with the support they need during this painful chapter of their lives.

To honor Jhony's memory and help alleviate some of the burdens they face, we have set up this GoFundMe campaign. The funds raised will be used to assist the White family with funeral expenses, medical bills, grief counseling, and any other essential needs during this trying time. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a significant difference and demonstrate our collective love and support for the White family.
