Honor Joanna Alvarez's Memory
Donation protected
Aloha everyone,
I am deeply hurt and saddened by the sudden loss of my mother, Joanna Leilani Alvarez. You all may have known her for her free-spirit, warm personality and bright smile. No matter the circumstances, she always had that smile on her face and a positive outlook on life.
She was beyond excited to embark on this new chapter beside me in Colorado. Hawai’i will always be home, but we just wanted to experience and enjoy life in many other ways because we thought we had more time together.
For those that knew her, either through dialysis or as long time friends/classmates, her health has consistently been declining over the years. She stayed strong, resilient and full of life no matter what. Unfortunately, we had no idea that god had other plans.
On July 21, 2024 at 3:00 am, her soul was set free and she was finally reunited with my grandparents. I will miss her laugh, voice, humor and most of all, her presence. I miss her every second of every day.
I have decided to plan a celebration of life back home in Hawai’i on July 20th, 2025, for everyone who wants to come and say their last goodbye’s. I want to celebrate her life with people who love and care for her.
I kindly ask for any help or donations during this time to give my mom a beautiful service, to honor her soul graciously in any way that you can. All proceeds will go towards her service and anything is appreciated.
I just want to truly thank everyone for all the support during this difficult time.
I’ll forever miss you Mommy
In loving memory of
Joanna Leilani Alvarez
