Honoring John Carman's Legacy & Supporting His Loved Ones

It is with immense sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our dear friend and colleague, John Carman, and his loving wife Julie. After spending the day at the hospital with Julie—who was in hospice care after suffering multiple strokes and a heart attack—John himself suffered a heart attack on March 8 as he was leaving. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived. Six days later, Julie also passed, surrounded by two of their children, rejoining his side.

John was a pillar of strength and kindness, always putting others before himself and bringing warmth and humor to any room he stepped in. In his final days, he remained devoted to his wife during her battle with Cancer, his three children, and all who knew him. His warm energy, humor, and generosity left a lasting impact on so many lives.

As we grieve this tremendous loss, we hope to give John the beautiful memorial he deserves and, most importantly, support his two college-aged children, Grazyna and Keoni (both 20), as they navigate life without their loving father and navigate this unimaginable time. Our goal is to ease any financial burden they may face as they continue their college journeys—Keoni as a junior at Chapman University and Grazyna as a junior at UMass Amherst—and work toward building their futures.
