ANNOUNCEMENT:
Our family is deeply saddened to announce the death of John Pedemonti, son, brother, uncle, nephew, ex-husband, dear friend, colleague, pain in the ass, jokester, and lover of life.

As many of you may know, John has been battling cancer and other issues for a long time now. John's chemo catheter gave him staph aureus, he became septic. His heart valve went first, and then his lungs became infected. It was discovered that he had cancer of the larynx, on top of it all.
Two nights ago, his breathing had become so bad the hospital was forced to put John on a ventilator. Yesterday, long-time, close friend Brian Schebish, and dear friends, Peyton Cooper and Paul Carter, drove hours to visit John in the Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. Brian stayed with John while they removed the ventilator, held his head and his hand, and told John how much we all love him. John finally opened his eyes and looked at Brian, soon passing away at 6:43 PM, August 23, 2024.
John was born February 24, 1968, in Hartford, CT. He was extremely brilliant--entering kindergarten at the age of four. Animals loved him. Our childhood cat, Cappy, gave birth to her kittens between John's legs while he was sleeping! We called him "the bird whisperer" because he could always get parakeets to jump on his finger and ride around.
John loved guitar and music more than anything else. He played in several bands through the years. I am grateful that one of the last things he did was create a post of 20 albums that greatly influenced his taste in music! John loved comedians, like Carlin and Williams. He was the best source of what to watch next--especially if you love sci-fi--like Firefly, Nikita, and The Dollhouse. He was always reading. Heinlein was his favorite.
Our family will post the official obituary and celebration of life details when we have them. Posted above are a couple of photos from John's colorful life over the years. If you have a moment, please, add photos, videos, and stories of John with our post. We'd appreciate that.
In peace, John. We love you and we will miss you! XO
