It is with great sadness and a heavy heart to have to announce that Jon Wysocki has passed.

Jonathan Edward Wysocki, a cherished soul whose laughter and love for life left a lasting mark on all who knew him, passed away on May 18th, 2024. Born in Northampton, MA, and raised in Westfield, Jon’s musical talents led him far beyond their borders, touching countless hearts along the way.

He leaves behind his son, Blake Wysocki, aged 13, of Winter Park, Florida, who he loved dearly. His legacy is also carried on by his devoted parents, Marilyn and Edward Wysocki of Cotuit, Massachusetts; his sister, Kara Karo, her husband Doug, and their children Kathryn and Michael, all of Hingham, Massachusetts as well as his fiancée, Shannon Fox of Lebanon, Tennessee. Jon's extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, countless friends, and band members further attest to the wide circle of lives he touched.

Jon was a founding member of the band Staind, one of the most commercially successful hard rock bands in recent history, selling nearly 15 million copies across seven albums. His musical talents continued to resonate as he collaborated with bands such as Soil, Save the World, and most recently, Lydia’s Castle, based in Nashville, Tennessee.

Beyond his musical legacy, Jon was known for his enormous heart and deep love for animals, especially dogs. An avid Boston Bruins fan, he could often be found cheering passionately for his team, embodying the same zeal he brought to all areas of his life. To many, Jon was not just a friend but a brother, whose kindness, big-hearted goofiness, and infectious laugh brought light and warmth to every gathering.

A tribute to celebrate Jon's life and contributions to music will be held in Nashville on June 18th, 2024 at the Vinyl Lounge, time to be announced. Services will also be held in Westfield, Massachusetts, at a later date, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory and legacy.

Jon Wysocki will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in his music, his love for his family, and the memories he created with all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

All donations made to this Gofundme will be distributed to his fiancé Shannon Fox to help out with the everyday bills that are needed to take care of their home and their 2 dogs.
